And residents’ views on how community councils should be set up, operate and represent local people will influence a new agreement being drawn up between community councils and East Renfrewshire Council.
Between February 2014 to January 2015, 1,000 people were involved in a total of 24 weeks of consultations. Their views have shaped the proposed Community Council Scheme of Establishment.
The third and final, stage of our consultation will run for five weeks from 7 April to 12 May and residents are now being asked for their views on the ten proposed changes to the scheme. These further opinions will help to influence the final Scheme of Establishment. Have your say at: getinvolved.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk
The Scheme of Establishment is being reviewed to improve how community councils operate in East Renfrewshire and how the council supports them.
