The Zero Waste Volunteer programme is about encouraging people to take responsibility for the waste that they produce and enable them to see it as a resource rather than a problem.
As one of our ZWS volunteers in East Renfrewshire you will help run and attend events, workshops and meetings which focus on our four main campaigns:
• LOVE FOOD HATE WASTE
• HOME COMPOSTING
• RECYCLE NOW
• STOP THE DROP
You will help advise people in East Renfrewshire on the best techniques on recycling and manage their food waste. You don't need to be an expert; we give you the training and support to carry out these activities. All you have to do is have an interest in the environment and helping your community.
Our programme gives you the opportunity to choose the hours you contribute and allows you the chance to play to your strengths. Whether you want experience in running and hosting events, carrying out workshops in schools or learning more about environmental issues then this is a great voluntary platform for you.
For more information about the Zero Waste Volunteer Programme or to register your interest, please contact Eva Barry, Volunteer Coordinator on 07508098934 or 0141 552 0799 zerowaste@thewisegroup.co.uk. Don't forget to LIKE our Facebook page and keep up to date with all our events and info. Zero Waste Glasgow & East Renfrewshire.
